Time for the Status quo to be transcended or to die: A War of Orientations

(Hayelom)

Even though the political objectives that are aimed to be achieved in this current chaotic political situation of the country are diverse in nature and do not have distinct patterns, the mechanisms that are being utilized have discernible strange attractor patterns.

It looks that two different worldviews are shaping the mechanisms used by the two dominant forces, the status quo force and the disruption force.

The philosophical orientation of the status quo force is objectivism which states that reality is objective, non-contextual and measurable. It claims that the most important issue is doing and action, not presenting reality. It claims there is one reality. It does not recognize the importance of psychology and has no understanding of mind dynamics. It does not recognize the importance of the mind dynamics of people in creating reality since reality is considered to be objective. It has a structured way of thinking and relies on planning and monitoring.

Its main strength is conceptualization and aligning to a program line.  Since it is a government, it is highly hierarchical and slow in decision making. It tries to live in a deterministic system where the input and output are directly connected to each other, cause and effect relationship is discernable. It tries to live in a deterministic system where the pattern is predictable.

Speed and flexibility are its core weaknesses. Information flow is highly planned and structured. Information flows through hierarchies. Secrecy is the norm. Leadership is expected from one center. Decision making is highly centralized. Collective decision making is the key.

Discussions and meeting are done in a highly structured way. Dialectics is the way of analyzing and solving a problem. This worldview highly aligns with the mythic and mental civilization. This kind of culture is developed due to the structured nature of the party, hierarchical model of the government, and the need to maintain status quo.

Whether it is a conscious choice or unconscious movement, the disruption force seems to adhere to the world of social constructivism where reality is constructed through interaction, is contextual and emerges through a complex dynamic system.

It adheres to the conviction that there is no reality, the reality is the perception that is created in the mind and heart of the people. It gives high emphasis on psychology and communication. It believes that reality can be created by constructing a perception in the mind dynamics. It invests a lot in changing the mindset of the people. It tries to use all the weaknesses and vulnerabilities of the people’s mind dynamics. It uses the effective technique of triggering emptiness in the mind of the audience and attaching the emptiness to an external force, usually called the externalization technique.

In this technique, first, an emptiness in the mind is triggered which disrupted the existing mind dynamics. As the mind dynamics is in chaos, the communicator gives an illusionary image to the audience that an illusionary external force is the cause of the emptiness and pain.

In this way, the emptiness is attached to the external force. Once the cause of the emptiness in the mind is externalized to an illusionary devil force, the mind starts looking for an external savior. Through this process, the mind creates an external devil and an external savior image. Then the mind starts searching for someone that can represent the external savior image.

Emotion is highly utilized. An emotional connection to the agenda is the most critical element, not the conceptualization. Unifying through emotion is the key success factor. Informal interaction is being used to influence each other. Earliest framing is being used to shape the mind and heart of the audience. In order to create earliest framing, becoming the first to set the agenda is key. This has become successful for the audience that has not developed rational conceptualization. It is pragmatic.

Principles, stands, tactics and techniques can be changed and new ones can emerge as long as there is unity of emotional and vital energy. It can come up with infinite possibilities that opposes the established status quo.

Instantaneous information sharing and flexibility are strengths. It tries to live in a complex dynamic system where the input and output are not directly connected, cause and effect relationship is not discernable. It has a high level of unpredictability and dynamism. The complex dynamic system is being used to disrupt the current order and emerge the next order.

Lateral communication plays a critical role in information sharing and decision making. There is a distributed decision making organized through emotional and vital unification. There is a high level of informality. There is deep and strong communication among the actors.

Doing is instantaneous. Individuals can play a critical role as long as they are in rhythm with the emotional and vital energy.  This worldview has been consciously or unconsciously adopted due to factors such as the availability of cyber, the need to disrupt the current status quo and create chaos, and alignment to the culture. This worldview has an alignment to the magic and integrative structure of consciousness.

The status quo force has to understand why the disruption force is gaining momentum. Even though the political aim and the interest of the people is the most important factor for winning or losing a struggle , there are some factors that are enabling the disruption force to gain momentum.

The first factor is the characteristics of cyber. Cyber is a platform that is enabling the unconsciousness or consciousness of the mind to manifest itself without hindrance. The cyber does not have a mechanism that controls the lowering of the consciousness of people.

It entertains emotions, vital connections, fake new, concepts and mainstream news. It is powerful in shaping the mind dynamics of the audience.  Its usage of multi-media such as image and video enables those that play on the layer of emotional and vital energy excel in the warfare. It creates an open platform where creativity and flexibility are highly encouraged. It is real-time where thinking, doing and informing are highly integrated and delay in time determines the success of the mission.

Cyber is characterized by decentralization and laterality which suits to the orientation of the disruption force. Cyber is a complex dynamic system which aligns to power being created by the disruption force. It promotes sharing of information real-time. It has high level of informality.

Another factor is the state of situation we are in. The current situation is in chaotic state where state of mind dynamics, speed, flexibility, unpredictability, dynamism, laterality, emotional and vital energy play a critical role in deciding the success of an initiative. The disruption force has infinite possibilities that oppose the established status quo. The level of our unconsciousness also makes the orientation of the disruption force workable in our context.

It is therefore mandatory for the status quo force to transcend itself to a higher-order where it can integrate its existing dialectical and emerging integrative thinking. The status quo can use the current chaos as an opportunity to transcend itself.
