The EPRDF (Ethiopian peoples’ Revolutionary Democratic Party) has three main tiers of leadership that is the Congress, the Council, and the Executive Committee.
The Congress meets every two or two and half years; whereas the 180-memeber Council and the 36-member Executive Committee convene every six months and three months respectively.
All the three organs consist equal representatives from the four member parties– namely, TPLF (Tigray Peoples’ Liberation Front), SEPDM (Southern Ethiopian Peoples’ Democratic movement), ANDM (Amhara Nation Democratic Movement) and OPDO (Oromo Peoples’ Democratic Organization).
