President Isaias Afwerki today received and held talks at the State House with Ambassador Muna Omar, special envoy of the Acting Egyptian President.

In the course of the meeting, the two sides conducted discussion as regards the role Egypt should play in the Horn of Africa and the Middle East, especially the Red Sea region, as well as the objective situation in Egypt.

Following the meeting, Ambassador Muna told Erina that although Egypt is confronted with problems that need to be tackled about which media outlets have given a distorted account. She further explained that the role of the Eritrean government is significant in resolving the prevailing domestic situation in Egypt.
